What would you say if I told you indoor air quality can contain from five to one hundred times more contaminants? In the name of safety and energy conservation we have bottled up our homes and by doing so have sealed the pollutants in. Think of the dust, cleaning agents, pet dander, skin cells, paint and who knows what else is locked inside your home or building. This can be especially problematic for young children, the elderly or those with respiratory concerns (asthma, allergies, COPD and other ailments than can be exacerbated by poor indoor air quality. The EPA (Environmental Protection Agency) has indicated that pollutants in the indoor air environment can reach levels as high as 100 times worse than the air outside.
